ERG Interactive: Main Session TableTalks - Outcomes/Deliverables

    • ERG Assessments: Each company will receive a copy of the ERG interview assessment matrix (includes prioritization and details of the interview results).
    • Participation: Each company will participate in a minimum of 2 TableTalks, either by moderating or discussion.
    • Reports: After participation in the day's two TableTalk sessions, discussion leaders (company representatives) will "report out" to the Interactive attendees, and answer questions.
    • Documentation: The Interactive is the first phase in the development of an "ERG Playbook," documenting the day's discussions and findings, which will be distributed to all registered companies.
    • Accountability: Company ERGs/diversity/affinity groups will be asked to commit to executing at least one action item within their company over the next 3 months, reporting back to the group at the next summit/forum/interactive in Q1 2016. The action items will be documented and tracked on an ongoing basis as as addendum to the ERG Playbook.

The evening (6:30pm - 10:00pm) portion includes a DivTech Forum (Fireside Chats and the Black Experience in Silicon Valley) and an Innovation Social, both organized by the HBCU I.C.E. Innovation Summit. Interactive attendees will be granted access to the evening portion.

The African American Employee Network (AAEN Bay Area) is working with the UNCF and its HBCU Innovation, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship (ICE) initiative to help connect African American students interested in pursuing careers in the tech-industry with African American professionals employed in Silicon Valley and Bay Area tech companies.

The program, known as the National Tech Diversity Pipeline Initiative (NTDPI), is managed by AAEN with the goal of building a vibrant ecosystem of relationships between those entering the career pipeline and those professionals already there to both support students pursuing careers in the tech industry while continuing to build the community of African American tech professionals. The NTDP is being launched through HBCUs, and is the first step in an effort planned for expansion to colleges and universities across the country.
